Earnings

The entry-level wage for a creative director in SLC is about $42,000 per year. The beginning wage for a creative director elsewhere is $50,323 a year. This is with just one year of experience.

The maximum salary that one can expect in SLC is about $137,074 per year. For 15+ years of experience, the highest salary is around $248,000 per year elsewhere.

Some of the factors that affect the salary range is the location, experience, and company size. Each location has a different demand for creative directors, therefore salary would vary. For experience and schooling, people are willing to hire you if you have more experience and are willing to pay more for the more experience you have. Company sizes also are a huge factor. Even if you don't have much experience, a smaller company is willing to hire people that may not have that much experience. A bigger company will pay you less for fewer years of experience because you may not be a necessary asset.

Some of the expenses involved with becoming a creative director is college tuition. If you are becoming a creative director, you should get at least a bachelor's degree and you should get a master's degree. Tuition is fairly expensive, depending on the college. It also takes time to become a creative director, therefore you will have to find a job while pursuing a creative director position.

These costs can be financed in several different ways. You will probably have student loans after the master's degree is acquired. While having a job while in college will pay for food and other survival things. You can apply for scholarships and get into a good college and maybe not pay as much for college. Then after college and once you get the job you want, you can pay off those student loans a little at a time.
